Draw Your Background

Drawing my background in flash was easy because i just had to copy it from my paper prototype.The only different thing was picking out the different colors for buildings and such.

Playstation 4

In yesterdays live stream  Sony showed their new PlayStation 4 controller. Although the system was not shown the Ps4 looks very promising. The controller has many great features.Like the option to connect your headset to the controller instead of the console.The touch pad in the back of the controller is like the one from the PSVita.

Playing to Learn Part 2

I am most interested in using the Adventure genre for my game. I like how some teams used the platform way of playing for their game.There were other teams that really didn't use the platform to its fullest so i want to do that. I am not sure how I would incorporate the adventure genre to my game but I will see what i can do.

Present Your Hidden Objects Game

The learning topic of my game is animal abuse. I am focusing on a certain animal, a dog. I learned that thousands of dogs get abused in the U.S.  And more get killed. I learned about the things that can hurt a dog , you can see what hurts a dog in my game. At first I was going to do all animals in general but it would be too much work and too much information. I used a timer, score, and background music. These helped my game by making it more entertaining. The hardest part was researching.There were many websites that did not have real information. To make sure I had a good source I looked at who were the people posting the information. I got my information from the Human Society of The United States.

Hidden Object Quiz

The way I made this quiz is by creating five symbols as movie clips. Then I got a code from the wiki and made it to where I click on one of the symbols and the symbol disappears.

Add Game Ingredients

Adding game ingredients was pretty easy. The coding was a little hard at first because I have not used flash in a while. The score last year took me a month to do , but now it took about 5 minutes because i actually read the instructions. The background music was easy too and so was the timer.

Adding Hidden Objects

It wasn't my first time programing but it brought back memories. Its fun doing this. I want to be able to make things move and things like that. I want to experience things in flash that I havent already .

Draw Background Post

Drawing my paper prototype in flash was very easy. I like it better that doing it on paper. It was easy because all I had to do was trace what I had drawn on the paper to flash. It was alot quicker too.

Post-Election Day 2012

My prediction was correct !
I predicted...I knew that Obama was going to be reelected.I was scared because it was a pretty close race but Obama did it !

I already had my idea set up , so it helped me out it into paper.There was a problem with trying to figure out which items to put in because there weren't many that i could think of.

Frankenstorm 2012

Do you know anyone that lives in the North East? How about in New York City?

I do not think I know anyone in The North East or New York. 

 If you were to make a hidden object game about Frankenstorm, what would the setting for your game scene be? What ten objects would you hide? 

If I made a game about Frankenstorm I would make the setting be New York and have the hurricane coming from the ocean. I would then make the player find things that would be nessesary to survive it. Things like: a car to get out of there, a map ,can foods , first aid kit, water , cloths, medicine, a life preserver, 

What kind of information would your player learn from playing the game?

Playing to learn reflection

I learned a couple things about these games , I learned that people can do things to take better care of their pets, I learned about Insects, and I learned some vocabulary words.

A New Year

The school year has been pretty good so far. I mad a lot of new friends and met a lot of cool teachers. The schedules have been pretty crazy the past couple of weeks so there's been a lot of commotion. I had my schedule changed 4 times so i was confused for the first couple of weeks. My classes are good. The teachers really try to teach you what you need to know. There's a lot of new teachers this year fr 9th grade. I don't think I'm going to play any sport but I am still thinking about it.
